Phoslamin - binding available phosphate

Binding the available phosphate for plants

Phoslamin

Phoslamin is a phosphate binder that has been specifically developed for water treatment dedicated to ponds, natural pools, waterspout fountains and circulation wells. So far, the market has been provided with a range of products that reduces the phosphate content, however they have the disadvantage of releasing the captured phosphate to the water under reducing conditions and thus even promoting algal blooms yet rather than preventing it.

By combining two very effective binders, Phoslamin represents a new technological solution which is able to bind the phosphate with a strong and long-lasting retention. With PHOSPAT®, it is possible to support the biofilter to such an extent that the phosphate content decreases below the threshold of 0.035mg/l.

In this situation, the lacking of nutrients forbid the algae proliferation. Furthermore, the released phosphate from the algae will be quickly bound again at Phoslamin. The high binding capacity and very tight binding of phosphates on Phoslamin multi-component will prevent redissolution under reducing conditions.
